I recently stayed at a beautifully renovated palace in Sansol and had a wonderful experience. The rooms and bathrooms were modern, and I especially appreciated the all-female dormitory. The albergue had a large living area where I could relax and the terrace area was perfect for washing my clothes. The owner, who was very nice and helpful, made my stay even better. The WiFi was great throughout and the property was spacious. I would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

I had such a wonderful stay at this charming hostel in Sansol! the dinner was satisfying with Basque peasant fare and plenty of wine. Ben, our kind host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even gave us coffee and cookies for our journey. the beds, although standard bunk beds, were surprisingly comfortable. the atmosphere was warm and friendly, and I made lasting friendships with fellow guests. It truly was one of my best stays on the Camino.
Nothing negative to say about this amazing place! 😊.

The property was absolutely lovely, with stunning views. We enjoyed spending time on the deck, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying the refreshing breeze. The communal dinner made by the owner, Jose, was a true gem. It brought us all together with other pilgrims and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.

Great community-building experience and a highlight of my trip. Met wonderful people during dinner.
Found a blood stain on the pillow, but too tired to ask for a change.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. the building had a rustic charm and the rooms were modern with comfortable beds. the location was perfect for the Camino, with easy access to the trail. the communal areas, like the terrace and living area, were spacious and well-maintained. the dinner was a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow travelers and the owner was kind and generous.
Limited dining options in the small village, with only one restaurant available. the pilgrim dinner was a bit bland, but it did provide sustenance.

The dinner at the hotel was absolutely delicious and definitely a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed traditional Basque peasant fare accompanied by plenty of wine. the host was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He even provided us with coffee and cookies to take on our way since the cafes weren't open yet. the property itself was beautiful, with stunning views from the top floor where there was a pool table and ping pong table. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of walking.
There were a few downsides to our stay. there was no elevator in the hotel, which was a bit of a challenge for those of us with camino injuries.

I recently stayed at a beautiful converted palace in a new place on the Camino. The rooms and bathrooms were modern and the all-female dorm was a nice touch. The alberge had a large living area which was a great place to relax. Ben, the kind host, served a simple Basque peasant dinner with plenty of wine. He even gave me coffee and cookies to go, as the cafes were not open yet. The terrace area and washing facilities were also a highlight. I had a peaceful and enjoyable stay at Palacio De Sansol.

This has been our favorite Camino stay so far. Cons: No complaints 😊.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in a small village while on my Camino journey. The building was impressive and had a rich history, which added to the overall experience. The Dutch host was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The property had stunning views and amenities like a pool table and ping pong table, which were perfect for my kids after a long day of walking. One highlight of my stay was the communal dinner prepared by the owner, Jose. For just 13 euros, we enjoyed a delicious meal with wine, soup, entrée. It truly felt like a gem amidst our pilgrimage.
There were a few minor drawbacks during my stay. The bunk beds were too low, making it difficult to sit up underneath them.

The converted palace was a stunning place to stay. The modern rooms and bathrooms were a pleasant surprise. I especially loved the all-female dorm which made me feel comfortable and safe. The terrace area and washing facilities were also great additions. The large living area was a nice escape from the dorm room. The owner of the albergue was incredibly helpful and made my stay even better.
There was a blood stain on my pillow, but I was too tired to ask for a change. Additionally, the bunk bed in my room was squeaky and made a lot of noise when I moved.
